So I've been thinking recently about how to gear up for my first
craft show in Canada, although I don't even know when or where that will
be. I've been pinning things on Pinterest
and looking for ways to display my work. I'd been thinking about a coat
rack or something for the scarves... but then, I found it....

During a trip to Value Village (like Salvation Army for all you Americans), I found an old stand that resembled a coat rack but had elastics all over it. It said "My Beanies" at the top and I knew it was someone's old Beanie Baby Collection stand. You know, those small animal toys filled with beans of some sort???
Well, I decided it would be perfect as a scarf stand! I'd just have to paint over "My Beanies" at the top. And it cost me a whopping $3.99!
So, to Dollarama I went (GREAT Canadian dollar store!) and picked up some acrylic paint and paint brushes.
On my back deck today, (while in my bathing suit to double up on the tanning time!) I painted the stand to look like my business cards. Turned out great! Very excited about my find and fix-up!
Crocheted blanket with chunky wool. Can be done in any colour of choice. Shown here in beige with 2 strings of different shades of green as accent colour. Price: $45
